Angling for Hip-Hop Appeal

As much as black democrats trash Steele, he has been the most visible in Maryland.  The Democratic candidates for Maryland are not giving or showing me reason why I should vote for them.  Mfume is not representing to my standards.  As far as Russell Simmons supporting Steele is concerned, I think that it shows that there are no permanent friends and enemies in politics.  You have to vote for the best person for the job, not what party they are in.  And I think that Steel may have a chance in Maryland.

Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele’s credibility with a pivotal constituency — African American voters — got a boost yesterday when hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons got behind his U.S. Senate bid.
