Freshly Baked Handouts Forbidden in Fairfax

One of the wealthiest counties in VA, is trying to crack down on the homeless getting food poisoning, so they have created a new law.  According the the Washington Post:

“Under a tough new Fairfax County policy, residents can no longer donate food prepared in their homes or a church kitchen — be it a tuna casserole, sandwiches or even a batch of cookies unless the kitchen is approved by the county, health officials said yesterday.”

You have got to be kidding….  The county of Fairfax is not concerned with the homeless being food poisoned; they just don’t want to deal with homeless people in their up scale county.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.  If they were concerned about food poisoning, what about pot lucks at church functions or at the job?  You still prepare food at your house and take it to a public place.  Why doesn’t the law apply to these situations?
