Prince George’s County in the news: Again

Violence Spills over at Addison Road Metro Station in Capitol Heights-  Seat Pleasant Day ended kind of ugly.  I understand there are a lot of hard working people in Seat Pleasant and it is a shame that it ended with several young people being stabbed.

Prince George’s County:  Running  on Bootleg.  Our county is a complete mess.  The county should have thought about this before taking action.  They did a half ass job just to show face and now the issue will more then likely be swept under the rug until another wave of violence occurs.  We need strong policy makers and leaders in our government, and the current ones just aren’t cutting it.

Credit Card Use Probed By U.S., Sources Say– More scandal, more scandal more scandal; and his name is Jack Johnson.  How do you charge a personal haircut on your government credit card.  Even if the charges are reimbursed to the card, it is still an ethics violation.

When will Prince George’s County residents wake-up and call this man out?  County Executive Johnson is a joke, now the Feds are getting involved in the case.  I remember the interview that the gazette did on him a week ago.  During the interview he claimed that crime and other factors are not negatively affecting the reputation in Prince George’s County, the reason for this is because it all ready has!!  I wonder how he now thinks about the current Federal prob into his own ethical practices.  How mch more bad publicity does he think we needs before start laughing with us?
Progress Is Slow as Clubs, County Hammer Out Security Plans– Prince George’s County:  Running  on Bootleg.  Our county is a complete mess.  The county should have thought about this before taking action.  They did a half ass job just to show face and now the issue will more then likely be swept under the rug until another wave of violence occurs.  We need strong policy makers and leaders in our government, and the current ones just aren’t cutting it.

  1. Good ol’ PG! It’s change a lot over the years. I remember a time when it was a nice place to live…well, unless you were black…and I am. 🙂 I grew up in southeast washington off of Southern Ave. We were just across the street from PG county.

  2. Native I feel you on your anger at Jack Johnson but I think the same reason why black people wont call him out is the same reason why we keep electing mayor barry to office in dc.

Also Native police cannot stop violence in our community, only we can do thatand only through education will this change. It is going to take the individual black person, family and churches to help people understand that we cannot continue to destroy ourselves. The police can do nothing if black people are intent on killing other black people and then the citizens wont say who these animals are making life worse for all of us.
Peace brotha Native hope your weekend was great.
