House Gives Bush Authority to do whatever the hell he wants

Why aren’t we in the streets protesting this Security Bill?  This Government has us so scared that we sit back and let this Administration run over our freedoms.

A lot of people really don’t understand what this bill allows the President to do.  They can pull any conversations and communications you have with anyone for any reason detain you without anyone knowing all in the name of national security.

All Americans should be outraged at the lawmakers who voted for this bill; for fear of being called weak on terrorism by the elitist in this country.  While Americans are consumed with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, our government bootlegging our rights; and those of us in the black community should really be alarmed.  Does anyone remember COINTELPRO?

COINTELPRO was a program of the United States F.B.I aimed at investigating and disrupting dissident political organizations within the United States using Illegal surveillance methods.  one of their targets was Martin Luther King Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference during the Civil Rights Movement as well as other groups that spoke truth to power.

Brian Glick wrote the book ‘War at Home’.  He identified 4 methods that COINTRLPRO used:

Infiltration: Agents and informers did not merely spy on political activists. Their main purpose was to discredit and disrupt.

Psychological Warfare From the Outside: The FBI and police planted false media stories and published bogus leaflets and other publications in the name of targeted groups.

Harassment Through the Legal System: The FBI and police abused the legal system to harass dissidents and make them appear to be criminals. Officers of the law gave perjured testimony and presented fabricated evidence as a pretext for false arrests and wrongful imprisonment.

Extralegal Force and Violence: The FBI and police threatened, instigated, and themselves conducted break-ins, vandalism, assaults, and beatings. The object was to frighten dissidents and disrupt their movements. In the case of radical Black and Puerto Rican activists these attacks—including political assassinations—were so extensive, vicious, and calculated that they can accurately be termed a form of official ‘terrorism.’

The security bill that the House passed on Friday gives the Bush Administration an open invitation to do whatever the hell they want to us.  Of course the Administration is saying that the Administration will not easedrop on common American citizens, only people linked to terrorist activites.  This bill does not have any oversight  or checks and balances.  Wake up America.

Read some of the Church Committee  report on COINTELPRO.  it is amazing how main stream Americans and conservatives called black people crazy for creating conspiracy theories.  They call black people foolish for entertaining such things.  All Americans need to wake up!
