Mississippi

What are your thoughts on these Mississippi State Holidays?  I had always heard about these holidays in the South and never really thought much of it until I heard someone mention it on a radio show.

I am curious as to how they celebrate Confederate Day in Mississippi.  I am sure they honor fallen confederate soilders.  I wonder if they open up all of the historic  plantation houses and hire actors to play slaves?  Just a thought.

America often tells black people to get over slavery; yet they refuse to get over the time period in which this country inflicted terrorism on a group of people because of the color of their skin.  Why would southern state governments celebrate Dr. King’s and Robert E. Lee’s birthday at the same time?

  2. Good questions. I live in MS and I think it is idiocy to celebrate Lee BD and the Confed Memorial Day. But all this stems from the Law of 1972. In that law it is illegal to have more than one illegit kid. Obviously these idiots control the state and until they are replaced or croak the state will have to be in the Dark Ages.

The Law was in response to the Civil Rights Act and they have not changed much since the ’50’s.
