  1. when will folks learn

  2. this is great. and to make things worse, the school is too cheap and arrogant to reprint the books.

    I’d sue.

  3. I’m an alumni of this school, and believe me, our school was NOT racist. Perhaps there were people there that thought of this sick joke, but why should the teacher, or anyone else be punished for this? Have you ever been on a high school yearbook team? It’s difficult work at the end of the year, and our yearbook is 300 pages long, with fine print everywhere. You try proofreading everything. Obviously, some of it has to go to the students, and if the student editor was in on this, then something like this would go through. The teacher is not at fault at all.

  4. Yes, I’ve been on a newspaper staff AND a yearbook staff. There’s no way in the world this was a slip. If one instructor can handle all proofreading and quality control, he/she should have sought help from another teacher.

    Excuses, excuses!

  5. The blame can not be put on one student, or one teacher, or one editor because more than one person say it. The staff simply did not care and didn’t have any interest in changing it. When people saw what was done they should have corrected it but that just goes to show how racist one school can be!
